Storyology Studios produces original content for TV, schools, the web, and beyond.
Stories are the backbone of everything we do, whether it’s creating brain-boggling videos for kids or working with awesome clients like The Travel Channel, Scholastic, and The International Reading Association.
Storyology Studios began life as an offshoot of our sister company, Page Turner Adventures, which produces national live touring shows for theaters and schools. So though the name is new, we’ve been around for quite some time and have picked up a few awards along the way (don’t worry, we put them back). The ones that actually belong to us include: an Emmy, a couple of Tellys, a National iParenting Media Award, and two Communicators. But our biggest reward comes from the pleasure of a good story well told, and the smiles we see on kids’ faces… okay, the big, heavy shiny “paperweights” are nice too.
Visit our Web Series page to watch shows that cultivate creativity, and stamp out test stress. Check out our TV Properties page for a glimpse at our “Under Construction Productions.” For info about how we can help you tell your story, visit our Production page. Producer, Director, Editor
Kenny credits his training as a Ringling Bros. clown for the awesome sense of comic timing and pacing he brings to all of his productions. He began his career as an improv comedian with the famed ComedySportz troupe in Madison, Wisconsin, and studied children’s television at Rockport College, Maine. After receiving a BFA (Bachelor of Funny Arts) from Ringling Bros. Clown College, he was handpicked by Ringling to develop and tour nationally an original show for the Boys and Girls Clubs of America. If you can’t find Kenny behind a camera, a computer, or on stage, he’s probably traveling the back roads of America on ridiculously long bike rides.
Creative Director, Writer, Producer
Since she was a kid, Riley has had a passion for stories! After attending the University of London, England and graduating from the University of Buffalo, she began her career as a writer and professional storyteller, touring schools and theaters from New York to Florida. She moved from stage to screen when she joined FOX Kids as a writer, producer, and host, earning an Emmy for outstanding children’s special along the way. In addition to her work in theater and TV, Riley has written books for the educational publisher, Heinemann (a division of Houghton Mifflin Harcourt), and is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators. She’s also the co-founder (along with Kenny Mikey) of Page Turner Adventures, Inc. When she’s not writing, producing, or performing, Riley can be found curled up with a good book, or creating robots out of old washers and Altoid tins.
Music Production, Audio Supervisor
Larry has extensive experience in film sound and music production. His film credits include Malcolm X, He Got Game, and Clockers. He’s also worked with some of the top stars in the music industry, such as Celine Dion, Lenny Kravitz, Ricky Martin, and Julio Iglesias. One of his favorite projects was working on Nickelodeon’s Gullah Gullah Island, which instilled in him a love for children’s TV. Larry has been a teacher and mentor to young professionals in the music and TV business for over fifteen years. He keeps the rest of the Storyology team in line with his calm presence…and third degree black belt in Aikido.
